Trip to Minocqua

 

For Labor Day, we went up to Minocqua with my parents.  We had a great time and the 4 hour drive wasn't too bad.  The house was amazing, set on a beautiful lake, with tons of outdoor spaces and lots and lots and lots of stairs!  And, most importantly, we found two places in town for lattes. 

We made smores with PopPop.

 

We went to Paul Bunyan's for donuts.

 

We went on a boat ride.

 

I spent the whole weekend on this hammock with a book....ha!  Seriously though, I did get a few hours of relaxation time.

 

With all the stairs and decks, it was a little crazy having to watch Mae constantly.  We then discovered that the pontoon boat was like a giant playpen.  Add wine to the mix and you are in for a good time!

 

Thumbs up for the pontoon boat, good parenting!

 

And finally, the kids spent a ton of time fishing off the deck.  You basically stuck the pole in the water and a fish bit immediately, so it was perfect fishing for little kids.
